Some may say these masks are ‘useless’. Early on we were also told the general public did not need masks. My masks are washable and most have a layer of fusible lining to hopefully provide extra protection. Parker Killian Gives Moore has made and distributed 45 masks to nurses and physician’s offices (at their request).
We are limited with how many we can make because materials are limited. Elastic is almost non existent…we have had strangers donate elastic. Fabric and elastic has been ordered but shipping may be delayed.
Every stitch represents love in memory of Parker.💜💜💜
Today we celebrated Parker’s life on his 26th birthday. He was an amazing person and forever 23.
Parker Killian Gives Moore presented our 3rd annual Clemson University’s Camp Sewee scholarship to Wyatt Mazza, a 5th grade student at Prosperity-Rikard Elementary (where Parker attended)
Wyatt was chosen because he best exemplifies the memory of Parker. He exhibits sportsmanship, kindness, and a deep respect for others. He lives the Life Skills that Mrs. Peel, Principal, promotes daily to the student body. He works hard to be the athletic model of youth. He has been noticed by faculty members in his endeavors to take up for the “underdog.”
What a GREAT article! Thanks Kelly Duncan, Andrew Wigger and The Newberry Observer for ALWAYS supporting Parker Killian Gives Moore. Congratulations to Wyatt Mazza for being selected to receive the third annual Parker Killian Gives Moore Camp Sewee Scholarship. Thanks to Debra Templin and Prosperity Rikard Elementary for supporting us as well.💜. The tree blooming is a purple plum planted last year on March 12 at our 2nd scholarship presentation.
