Life’s challenging, so why not embrace the challenge all in one fell swoop? Or rather… One Fall Swoop! 

All proceeds benefit the Parker Killian Gives Moore non-profit by providing scholarships for young people to meet their goals in education. Parker Killian Gives Moore has awarded more than 20 scholarships for college, technical schools, and Science and STEM camps, in numerous states for almost three years.

Who, What, When, Where, Why, How?

These are the questions; below are the answers.

Who?

Everyone who loves fun and wants to do good things.

What?

One Fall Swoop is a virtual run & challenge, offering four ways to come together as champions of wellness  and good spirit in a fun and healthy way.

When?

October 1st – October 31st, 2020

Why?

Parker was active, generous, and always in motion. Sometimes he skateboarded or walked to work. He could always be counted on for unexpected handstands, flips, and jumps. His young cousins still talk about him in terms of long games of tag, capture the flag, and infection. We remember Parker with an event he would have himself enjoyed, and we honor Parker by using it to help others, just as he always did during his life.  

Where?

Find your own happy place – in your neighborhood, skate parks, out on the trails, scenic spots avoiding congested areas being aware of your surroundings. Above all, have fun!

How?

Choose from the listed four events or choose the ‘Three outta four ain’t bad’ option! Why not? You have all month!  Participants can log their results (details on that below).

Registration is $25, and includes an event t-shirt, & the chance to win prizes!

Four Events

Four Ways to Challenge Yourself!

  • Walk/Jog

    Whether you walk or run, it is time to get moving! Set a goal! 

    Example: My goal for the month is to walk 117 miles by myself, or with a buddy or team.

  • Skateboard

    Great Blazing Boards! Grab your boards and pick up some speed as you fly off the top of the ramp, spinning, twisting, and whirling in the air. Whatever board you choose, record your mileage, and take some video footage. We would love to post your videos!

    Example: My goal for the month is to learn how to ollie or skateboard a total of 1.17 miles twice a week.

  • Bike

    Whether you are a casual cyclist or an avid enthusiast, get ready to push those pedals. Set your goal! 

    Example: My goal is to bike a total of 1.17 miles twice a week with my dog, or since I  have a Basset Hound, then 11.7 miles without my dog.

  • Freestyle

    Skateboards and bikes aren’t how you roll? Do it your way! You set and share your goal, complete it, then tally the results online. You can walk/run/or roll by scooter, wheelchair, or bicycle outside around your neighborhood. Inside on a treadmill? Just do it! 

    Example: My goal is ellipticize 23 miles during the month of October.

  • Three outta four ain’t bad!

    It’s the behemoth of all challenges! Sign up for three out of the four challenges. Why not? You have the entire month of October! Be sure to take pics of each of your challenges to post and log your mileage!
